ME

I still remember,it was 1983. I was 6 years old.
My father brought home the first computer, an old Apple IIc with a 13″ green phosphor display, a piece of history (luckily I did not continue with apple).
I saw him programming in Basic, but I could barely read.
At time I liked to play a beautiful version of “space invader”.
So one day I ask dad how to program and so he tried to explain me the basis of programming.
I did not understand a shit because I was 6 years old.
But I thought that computers were intelligent and they would understand.
So I took a notebook with a red rewritable pen and I started to write the game that would revolutionize the world.
My program was more or less like this:

10 HELLO COMPUTER
20 THERE IS A GAME THAT IS CALLED SPACE INVADER ON YOUR DISK
30 THIS GAME HAS A SPACESHIP
40 THIS SHIP CAN ONLY GO RIGHT AND LEFT
50 IT’S SO HARD TO DODGE THE ENEMIES
60 I WANT THIS SPACESHIP TO GO UP AND DOWN ALSO.
70 COME ON
80 YOU ARE MY FRIEND
90 BYE.

RUN

That’s me. I’ m not afraid to try.
